The Complete Good News Of Jesus Christ
1. Sins Forgiven:
The same statement is going to be made in several different ways in the hope that you will grasp this wonderful truth:
-
Jesus paid the full price for your sins. 1 John 2:2
-
God punished Jesus in your place! Isaiah 53:6
-
Whatever sins you have ever committed, or ever will commit was already punished in the person of Jesus Christ! Hebrews 10:12
-
God poured the totality (every single bit) of all His anger, wrath and fury for sin out on Jesus. Isaiah 53:5
Understand this: Since God was angry with and punished Jesus in your place, then He is no longer angry with you. God does not deal in double jeopardy. Once sin is punished and Gods justice it satisfied - its over! He will not punish you for what he punished Jesus for!
God has nothing but loving kindness for you.
Just as God took all our sins and put them on Jesus, so likewise, He also took all of Jesus' obedience and righteousness and put it on us. Just as Jesus was punished for our sins, we are likewise rewarded for HIS righteousness. 2 Cor 5:21. What an awesome deal! Thats Amazing Grace!
All of God's wrath and fury for sin (for all time and eternity) was totally and completely put on Jesus. God fury was spent, there's nothing left. Now God has only good desires for mankind! Luke 2:11-14.
2. Health:
As all our sins where placed on Jesus; so also were all our sicknesses and diseases. Isaiah 53:5, Psalm 103:3, 1 Peter 2:24. Yes! God wants you healthy and well. Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed of the devil..., Acts 10:38. What Jesus did on an individual basis during his earth walk, he did on collective basis for all of us when he suffered and died! Sickness and disease are the results of sin. When sin (being the root of the matter) is dealt with so also are its outcroppings. Thats why when Jesus healed the paralyzed man he first told him that his sins were forgiven, Matt 9:2. When the paralyzed man heard his sins were forgiven, it gave him hope for healing, and Jesus immediately followed through and healed him, Matt 9:6
3. Curses:
Jesus was made a curse for us, so that we might be blessed, Gal 3:13. Once we are in Christ we cannot be cursed. The only thing that awaits us in blessings.
This all seems to good to be true, but it is true. Either Jesus paid it all, or he paid nothing at all.
All these promises and so many more are for those that are in Christ. To get into Christ all you have to do is believe, from your heart, that Jesus suffered and died in your place (for your sins), and that he was raised from the dead by the Father on the third day. 1 Cor 15:3-4.
It was neither the Jews, nor the Romans that put Jesus on the cross. It was God and His Love for you that put Jesus on that merciless instrument of death!
This gospel message is probably a little different than others you may have heard in the past, but it is the truth! God really does have a great love for YOU!
